Ted Talk
I found this TED talk (see bellow) on Darwinian theory of Beauty and although the speaker Denis Duton is very interesting and the content of facts and philosophies of Beauty interested me equally without dragging the topic out for too long and numbing me senseless. This was inevitably supported by the interactive presentation situated behind him on a large screen in which he spoke over as the visual sequences played out and that was what engaged and stimulated my learning most of all. That way of speaking or how I would relate it as a lecture lightened up the learning rather than slide by slide of text ... he emerged voice, interactive visuals as well as text to engage all learner profiles and to make a subject that could be particularly dry very engaging. This way of lecturing or topic introduction can easily be applied for fashion theory workshops I could engage a typical art student through interactive visuals rather than stationery, along with text and audio to transfer information and enhance my learners knowledge on the topic hopefully being just as successful as Duton by not numbing my learners senseless.
